This Saturday Dec. 1 a reading of the classic, “The Night Before Christmas” will begin at 10 a.m. at the Muncy Historical Society and Museum followed by refreshments and a visit from Santa.

Sat. Dec. 1 free movie for kids at the Ritz in Muncy starting at noon, ‘Legends of the Guardian.” Bring non-perishable food item to donate to Son-Light House.

Muncy/Hughesville Book Club-Dec. 1 held at the Muncy Public Library Saturday morning at 10 a.m. Come and join the group. Bring your own favorite holiday poem or short story to share.

Sat. Dec. 1 Wings Over Water program at Montour Preserve. From 9 to 11 a.m. observe numbers and species of water fowl during migration on the lake. Bring binoculars or spotting scope. Meet in educational center but dress for outdoors.

Another local holiday tradition is the wonderful concerts presented by the West Branch Chorale. This year’s event, titled “A Chorale Christmas” takes place on Sunday, Dec. 2 at the First U. M. Church, Muncy, and on Sunday, Dec. 9 at Faith U. M. Church, Montoursville.

Make A Live Evergreen Wreath Workshop at the Muncy Public Library on Tues. Dec 4 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Come and make a live evergreen wreath perfect for holiday decorating. They make a unique and useful gift too! Bring a friend. A fee is charged for materials. Pre-registration is required. Call the library at 546-5014 to sign up.

Family Story Time from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Sat. Dec 8. at the Muncy Public Library. No registration is required. This ‘short and sweet’ half-hour story time is geared to all ages who love music and books!
