If you are anything like me, then you have probably been experiencing some January “blahs”. The cold weather has certainly not helped with motivation. The holidays have long since passed, New Year’s resolutions have come and gone, and spring is still too far away to give us energy.
As I was encouraging my students this past week to value the importance of self-motivation, I realized I should take a lesson from myself. I turned off the television and picked up a book. I also convinced my son to exercise with me. These may seem like small things, but I can honestly say they were the beginning of me finding renewed energy and a remedy for these winter blues.
I hope all of you are staying warm and staying motivated!
