Muncy locals

By Staff | Feb 12, 2013

I am always looking for ways to save money, especially when it comes to my closet. I look for good clothes at good prices no matter where I shop. We are lucky to have two neat shops in the area where you can go and get quality, gently used merchandise for a huge savings. Both of these shops are on consignment and sometimes they will purchase some items up front. I have a rule that for anything that comes into my closet, something has to go out.

At these shops, you can exchange something you have that you don’t like anymore for something else. The merchandise is always changing. I purchased some great little jewelry items, a strand of soft pink choker pearls and some very unique earrings made of stone and glass in my two favorite colors, orange and turquoise. Both of these shops were busy when I went, and both are located just off Route 220. I am organizing my closets, a must, and taking some of my hardly worn clothing to see if I can get some money back. These shops are unique and classy, and just minutes from my house. Oh, and if you happen to come across any gowns, bridesmaids dresses, or formal dresses, the Junior League is collecting them for their Cinderella’s Closet, a program for teenage girls who are economically disadvantaged to get prom dresses. Our local collection drop off is at Twin Hills Health Center.
