Hughesville locals
While I tend to be vocal about my likes and dislikes regarding the weather (yes, and just about everything else!), my husband is not usually so. I knew that the winter was really getting to be tiresome when even he complained about the cold weather. It looks like we won’t see any truly spring like days for at least another week or more. I am so anxious to get outdoors, but like everyone, I will have to be content to continue doing indoor projects and wait for the spring to show up.
The Hughesville Rotary will host the annual Easter Egg hunt this weekend. They hope the ground will be dry enough that the bunny can put out plenty of eggs and goodies for all the children. Parents and other adults accompanying the children will want to bring a basket or bag for the kids to use in collecting their treasures as well as a camera. Spare shoes or boots may be appropriate!
As we celebrate Palm Sunday and then move into Holy Week, I hope all Christians will make time to take part in services at the church of their choice. There are many opportunities, including the ecumenical Good Friday Service, held each year from noon to 3 o’clock. This year’s service is being hosted by Moreland Baptist Church. Pastors from the East Lycoming Ministerium will conduct the seven sections of the service, correlated with the seven last words of Christ. Worshippers may attend for all or any portions of the service.
