Muncy locals

By Staff | Apr 30, 2013

I was very sorry to hear about the storm damage at the old woolen mill on N. Market Street and its possible demolition. We hope to find out more about it and feature it sometime soon in The Luminary, as it has such historical significance, and many people worked there.

On Wednesday, May 8 students from Muncy High School will be having their second annual Indian Run. During the school day participating students, faculty and staff will walk or run laps for 15 minutes at a time. They will be raising money to buy a new sound system for their gym which will cost close to $10,000. Last year they raised $3400 for new books in the library. Sponsors and community donations will be very helpful. To make a donation call guidance counselor, Jeanne Rogan at the school at 546-3127, ext. 3250. Students are collecting money as well. All donations are due by May 6. Free tee shirts will be given out to those who raise $35 or more. They are a beautiful color of teal blue and designed by the students and art teacher, Beth Crissman.
