MHS Talent Show: A Tribute to Talents, Soliders, Social Issues
MUNCY – On Wednesday, May 22, 2013, students from Muncy Jr/Sr High School will be showcasing their talents in the high school auditorium. Doors will open at 6:30 with performances starting at 7p.m.
This year’s talent show contains 18 performances. Students of various ages will spotlight their unique talents such as singing, dancing, and displaying musical ability.
The opening of the show will begin with a tribute to soldiers around our area who have served our country in various branches of the military.
Another new feature of this year’s show is a refreshment stand. Refreshments will be available for purchase before and during the show and may be taken in the auditorium for enjoyment.
Before the show and during intermission, students from Ms. Bixler’s creative writing class will be providing kiosk presentations entitled “Be a Voice for the Voiceless” in room 100-next to the cafeteria. Guests are welcome to bring drinks and snacks into the room to educate themselves on issues surrounding us in our world today. The screen and projector for the project were funded through the First Community Partnership of Pennsylvania.
Senior and talent show participant Rebecca Smith says her favorite part about the show this year is “The variety of students being able to show their incredible skills. Also, the dedication to Memorial Day makes the show even more memorable to me since my brother is in Kuwait.”
Tickets may be purchased at the door for $2. Join us to salute students from Muncy Jr/Sr High School, soldiers in our area, and our concern for the world.
