Muncy locals

By Staff | May 21, 2013

National Emergency Medical Services Week is May 19-25 – Let us give recognition to those first responders, who often are the first ones to arrive upon a medical emergency or a home disaster. Many of them provide assistance on a volunteer basis. I noticed last week that many of the technicians were using the grounds they have in Muncy Township behind the mall for training practice and their rescuing skills. They were using crushed vehicles and I couldn’t help but notice the smoke stacks from the Pennsdale exits while heading west.

I also want to congratulate Ryan Bahr and Jade Cordrey from Ferrell Elementary School, and Joey LaRose from Myers Elementary for their upcoming participation in the Soap Box Derby race to be held in Williamsport next month. Good luck in your stock divisions.

Also keep in mind that Memorial Day weekend is coming up and The Luminary will be printed on Thursday, May 30. We will have photos of the Memorial Day parades and ceremonies in that issue. It will also be Alumni Weekend and prom weekend for Muncy. You can send any photos to us for print at bbarrett@muncyluminary.com
