Old Immanuel Lutheran Church on Lime Bluff Road will be the site of the June Memorial Service to be held Sunday, June 9 at 2:30 p.m. Speaker for this event will be Lutheran Minister, the Rev. Melody Sell. The public is cordially invited. This is a service for the history and commemoration of Old Immanuel, the original Lutheran Church in Lycoming County, founded in 1793.

New Safe Sitter Program Offered at The LifeCenter Beginning June 12

Susquehanna Health’s LifeCenter is now a Registered Safe Sitter Teaching Site and offers the comprehensive babysitting training program for young teens ages 11 and up! More than 600,000 graduates have completed the course nationally and are able to stay home alone safely and handle emergencies when caring for younger children. Very limited seating is available for the first class, scheduled from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Weds. June 12 at The LifeCenter, Lycoming Mall. This program is provided by Susquehanna Health’s LifeCenter and Family Center for Reproductive Health in partnership with Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania. The fee includes The Official Safe Sitter Babysitter’s Handbook. Scholarships may be available based on need. Register early by calling 1-877-883-4791.
