Make a Valentine on Sat. Feb. 1 at the Muncy Public Library from 10:30 to Noon. The program is for children ages 7-12, parents welcome. Materials provided with pre-registration by calling 570-546-8659.

Son-Light House Distribution Days, Feb. 5 & 6, 130 Carpenter St., Muncy, Weds. 9:30 to Noon and Thurs. 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Volunteers and donations always needed, especially cereal.

WHOO GIVES A HOOT? Friday, Feb. 7, 7-8:30 p.m. Meet in Environmental Education Center at Montour Preserve. Presented by Jon D. Beam, Senior Naturalist. Owls are creatures of mystery and magic, both feared and revered by ancient cultures. Today these winged hunters of the night are still cloaked in mystery and superstition. Explore the legend, lore and natural history of owls. Learn adaptations, identification and behavior of Pennsylvania species. Spend time indoors, so bundle up and head outside to try your hand at calling an owl. A fun, family evening.

Sat. Feb. 8, Church roast turkey dinner at Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, Turbotville, State Rt. 44, 4-6 p.m.
