Read Across America Day takes place in Muncy
The Muncy Public Library will be celebrating “Read Across America Day” with a special Storytime with Louise Fulmer on Monday, March 3, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
The program, which is geared for children ages 3-6, is sponsored by CLUST, a part of the PSEA Retired teachers association.
According to Fulmer, the goal of the CLUST Retired Organization is “to enhance literacy and encourage young children and their families to read together, to enjoy their local libraries, and to have books in the home.” Each child who attends the program will receive his own book to keep, courtesy of CLUST and the Friends of the Muncy Public Library.
On Tuesday, March 4th, Victoria Thompson-Hess, Library Director, will visit the Myers Elementary School First Graders with her guitar for a special storytime to continue the celebration of Dr. Seuss’s birthday.
