Montgomery locals Feb. 26
I am sorry to see the Olympics come to an end. Despite all of the controversies surrounding these games, I enjoyed watching many of the competitions. I was particularly fond of our ice dancing team and was very impressed with the new snow boarding events.
Montgomery’s Pack 29 Scout organization held their annual Pinewood Derby this past weekend. It was great to see all of the final projects presented during the race. The best part of the night was the familial involvement in this yearly event.
Students in the Montgomery middle and high school worked diligently over the past few weeks on a “Pennies for Pasta” drive. Homerooms throughout the school brought in all of their loose change in an effort to raise money to help fund childhood cancer research. The kids raised over $1000.00 in change and the winning room will be receiving pasta from “Olive Garden”.
Also, take a moment to visit the Montgomery Borough website (www.montgomeryborough.org). On the site you will find interesting information about the history of our town as well as news concerning the Watershed project and Revitalization project.
