The first week in March seems to be a busy transition in our school and town. Revitalize Montgomery met last week and continues to work on their spring beautification project planning. They will be holding an event for April and their focus is to “Clean Up Montgomery.” Look for some bulb plantings. Volunteers are always welcome.

Select students from Montgomery Elementary through High School are busy preparing for their upcoming Odyssey of the Mind Competition. Parents and friends got a sneak peak at the competition during a dress rehearsal this past Sunday.

In Sports news, preparation for wrestling States is underway and spring practices have begun for Track, Softball, Baseball, and Boys’ Tennis.

The Lycoming County Band Directors’ Association will be holding their annual Junior County Band festival this Friday and Saturday, March 7 and 8, at Montgomery High School.

The Montgomery Performance Arts Boosters will be meeting tonight, March 5, at 7:00pm in the high school band room.

The Montgomery Red Raider Foundation will be holding a meeting Tuesday, March 11, at 7:00pm.

The March school board meeting will be held Tuesday, March 18, at 7:00 pm.

The Elimsport United Methodist Church is holding a social time every Wednesday morning from 7 10. Come enjoy a hot coffee or cocoa and socialize. The meetings are being held in the church social hall.
