Montgomery locals Mar. 26
The Revitalize Montgomery Committee had a very productive meeting last Wednesday and has announced plans for “Second Saturday” events throughout spring. I will keep you posted as the first event approaches. The committee will be meeting, tonight, March 26 at 6:00 p.m. at Tickle’s Music Store.
I attended the annual Scout Pack 29 Banquet this past weekend. It was great to see so many of our young men earning new ranks and badges.
We wish the best of luck to our state qualifiers in band who are headed to Hershey this week. Kelsey Roberts, Emily Winder, and Cheyenne Lynch qualified to participate in this prestigious event.
The First Annual Montgomery Riverside/LEO Club 5K Walk/Run race will be held Saturday, April 5. I registered to walk the race with family and friends. I have been training to run it, but the weather has not been cooperating with my workout schedule. It would be great to see a large turn out for this worthwhile cause. Registration is now open for the event.
The Great Black Hole Clean-up will take place on Sat. April 26 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Hulsizer’s Chevrolet on Main Street. Gloves and bags will be provided.
Please consider contacting me with upcoming Easter celebrations and events. I would love to highlight area egg hunts as well as church services.
Also, take a moment to visit the Montgomery Borough website (www.montgomeryborough.org). On the site you will find interesting information about the history of our town as well as news concerning the Watershed project and Revitalization project.
