Happy Mother’s Day to all of our readers. Whether you are a mother yourself, celebrating your own mother, or thanking another maternal figure in your life, I trust that you all had a great day. I woke up to a beautiful breakfast and flowers. Like many of you, I took advantage of the beautiful sunshine, taking a walk and working in the yard.

Many of our area schools are beginning to kick off their end of year events. Prom is one of those celebrations. I would like to remind everyone to enjoy this yearly tradition, but to celebrate smartly and with safety in mind.

The Montgomery Area School District will be holding its May board meeting on Tuesday, May 20, at 7:00 p.m. in the board room.

Montgomery High School senior, Bethany Hipple, will be presenting a recital on Tuesday, May 20, at 7:00 p.m. in the high school auditorium. The concert is the culminating event of her graduation project. All proceeds will benefit Habitat for Humanity. The recital will feature many high school seniors.
