The Muncy Community Action Program (CAP) is offering summer recreation to the children of Muncy School District grades K-8. The program takes place at the Ward L. Myers Elementary School, Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon. The program will begin June 9th and will run until July 31st with the exception of the week of July 4th. Muncy Community Action Program Summer Rec. allows students a chance to participate in games, sports, crafts and other challenging activities that change daily. The Muncy Community Action Summer Rec. Program is free of charge to residents of Muncy School District. The program relies solely on the generosity of the community. If you have any questions concerning the Muncy CAP Summer Rec. Weds. June 18, Free CPR Course at the Life Center in the Lycoming Mall and presented by the PA Dept. of Health in partnership with Blue Cross of Northeastern PA. This hands-on program will be offered at 1:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. and includes a free training kit. To register, call 1-877-883-4791.

The next meeting for the Susquehanna Valley Quilt Guild will be a picnic held on June 26. The June workshop will be “The Carpenter’s Star” presented by Teri Snyder on June 21 at the Pennsdale United Methodist Church. Contact Angie Maietta for sign up and/or any questions. A fee will be charged. June 26 is the guild’s Summer Picnic. Dinner will start at 6 followed by a regular meeting. All members are asked to bring a dish to share.
