The 31st Annual Muncy Valley Hospital Lawn Party is scheduled Saturday, June 21 from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the grounds of the hospital. Party activities begin with a breakfast from 6:30 to 11 am. Registration for the Irv Zablocky Memorial Run & Walk opens at 7 a.m., and the race begins at 8:30 am. The run and walk will be held at Myers Elementary School, 125 New Street, Muncy and ends on hospital grounds; pre-registration is available. Opening Ceremony begins at 9:15 a.m. and ends at 3:45 with a raffle prize drawing and closing announcements.

‘1776,’ the Broadway musical about the Declaration of Independence, with local actors and actresses, began its run at the Courtyard Theater in Selinsgrove on Friday, June 13, and will continue over three weekends through June 29. Friday and Saturday shows on June 20 and 21, and June 27 and 28 will begin at 7 p.m.; the Sunday matinees on June 22 and 29 will begin at 2 p.m. All tickets can be bought by phone at (570) 374-0060 or online atwww.thecourtyardtheater.com. The next meeting for the Susquehanna Valley Quilt Guild will be held Thursday, June 26th at 6:00 PM at the Pennsdale United Methodist Church. This will be the guild’s annual Summer Picnic. Members should note time change. The Guild will supply hot dogs, burgers, rolls, paper products and beverages. Members should bring a dish to share. At the meeting following the picnic, members will vote on the new slate of officers. Installation of the new officers will be held at the July meeting.
