Montgomery Locals July 23
Montgomery Locals
By Carina McNear
I was busy as a chauffeur for my son this past week and wouldnt have wanted to be doing anything else. I value the time we have together before he reaches the age where he asks me to not be around. We attended a Junior Golf Camp in Bloomsburg as well as a mini camp for his fall travel soccer team.
My husband has been busy planning out water routes for a family canoe trip. We were also able to enjoy some beautiful bike rides with the cooperation of the weather.
The Montgomery Lutheran Church held its annual Blueberry festival this past Saturday. It was a successful event and it was great to see so many of the congregation and outside community members in attendance.
The “Revitalize Montgomery” committee would like to thank everyone involved in the recent July Second Saturday’s event. They will hold their next meeting today, July 23, at 7 p.m. at Tickle’s Music Store. All community members are encouraged to attend the meeting and share their thoughts and ideas for the direction of the organization. You are also encouraged to check out the Revitalize Montgomery’s Facebook page.
Elimsport will be holding its annual community yard sales this Friday and Saturday, July 25 and 26. Maps of the area are available. Food stands are also notated on the map.
Also, take a moment to visit the Montgomery Borough website (www.montgomeryborough.org). On the site you will find interesting information about the history of our town as well as news concerning the Watershed project and Revitalization project.
