Sat. Aug. 9, benefit for ‘Making a Difference 2 Seconds or Less’ at Muncy’s Kiess Field. The second annual 5K run. For more information contact Kaitlyn Lunger, event organizer at 570-916-5642. “Every 2 seconds a child dies from malnutrition.” Registration begins at 9 a.m. and runs until 10 a.m. Sponsors still needed.

Sat. Aug. 9, a benefit for children sponsored by Penitent Souls in Watsontown will hold a fundraiser at the Muncy Geringer Social Hall on N. Main Street in Muncy with a pig roast, auction and live band from 1-6 p.m.

Sunday, Aug. 10, benefit for T&D Cats of the World sponsored by Vineyard Community Activity Center, 99 Sherman St., Muncy. Join the Keystone Cruisers for a Car Show in Motion earlier that day at Burger King on Maynard St. in Williamsport, then end up at the Activity Center at 4 p.m. for a classy car show. Refreshments will be available. Cash awards will be given at the end of the run.
