Montgomery Locals July 30
Congratulations to the Clinton Township Fire Company on the recent grant they received from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. Recipients were announced last week according to Senator Gene Yaw. The grant money will assist in rural fire services representing areas with fewer than 10,000 residents.
The Elimsport community held its annual yard sales this past weekend. Numerous families participated and the streets were packed with shoppers looking for bargains. There were also multiple food stands available to the community members and visitors. My family participated in the sales and we were pleased to clean out our basements and garages. If any participants have leftover items that you do not want, please contact the American Rescue workers for pick-up. They will be visiting the Elimsport area throughout the upcoming week for collections.
My son has been taking painting classes this summer and has produced some fun projects while learning various painting techniques. Michaels Arts and Crafts store in Muncy holds weekly classes in art, crafts, jewelry making, and cake decorating. Classes are available for both children and adults.
Take a moment to visit the Montgomery Borough website (www.montgomeryborough.org). On the site you will find interesting information about the history of our town as well as news concerning the Watershed project and Revitalization project.
