Montgomery Locals Aug. 13
As much as I hate to see summer come to an end, there are some annual fall happenings that always bring a smile to my face. This past week, the Montgomery Marching Band held its 2014-15 band camp. The marching band is boasting its largest numbers to date and promises to be a tremendous addition to the weekly football games as well as area parades and other events. You can see the band tonight at the Little League parade. Good luck to all members!
The official start of the fall sports season kicked off this past Monday. Be sure to catch a game and support our local athletic teams.
Homeroom lists will be posted for the Montgomery Elementary School beginning August 18. Lists will be hanging on the multi purpose room doors.
Please consider joining and liking the Montgomery EMA on Facebook and Twitter for current notifications of pending disaster emergencies. Many thanks to Les Gruver and Michael Gruver for their work on this site and the new weather website provided by the Montgomery Borough.
Take a moment to visit the Montgomery Borough website (www.montgomeryborough.org). On the site you will find interesting information about the history of our town as well as news concerning the Watershed project and Revitalization project. September 13 will be the next Montgomery Second Saturday. Watch for more details coming soon.
