The Elimsport and St. John’s churches will be combining services on August 31 for Labor Day weekend. Brunch will follow the service.
Oak Grove Community Center will be holding its September breakfast on September 7 from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Consider joining the Montgomery Historical Society. The group is very active in the Montgomery borough and surrounding area and has recently rekindled their newsletter mailings. In the hopes of enticing participation, I will be providing a fun fact from the society over the next few columns. Did you know that Clinton Township was established in 1825 from Washington Township? It was named for DeWitt Clinton, who was then the governor of New York.
Take a moment to visit the Montgomery Borough website (www.montgomeryborough.org). On the site you will find interesting information about the history of our town as well as news concerning the Watershed project and Revitalization project.
