Montgomery Locals Nov. 5

By Staff | Nov 6, 2014

The Montgomery Red Raider football team played its final game of the season on Friday night against South Williamsport. Congratulations to the team for a season of heart and teamwork.

Congratulations also to our Junior High football team who increased their record to 8-1 after a win over Cowanesque Valley on Thursday night.

Members of the Montgomery Elementary staff spent a cold night camping out on the school roof on Thursday. The teachers agreed to the campout after students reached a goal of $8,000.00 in their annual Walk-a-thon.

The Montgomery Borough held its Halloween Parade on October 30. The parade featured the Marching Band as well as other school organizations, community members, and Scout troops.

A big thank you also goes to Fae Herb and her husband for coordinating the “Hometown Heroes” banners which are now installed to honor 15 of our local veterans, just in time for Veterans Day on Nov. 11.

Are you on Twitter? The Montgomery High School Broadcasting class has launched a new Twitter account covering Raider news. Consider following us @MASDnews. You can receive play by play from featured sporting events and stay on top of everything happening in the district.
