Montgomery High School, Virtuoso, presents ”Our Town”

Students from the Montgomery High School music and theatre ensemble, Virtuoso, will present the play "Our Town" on November 21 and 22 at 7:00 p.m. Pictured are juniors Amy Drick (Emily Webb), Josh Glover (Stage Manager), and Isaac Dietrich (George Gibbs).
Virtuoso, the Montgomery High School music and theatre ensemble, will be presenting their fall play, “Our Town”, Friday and Saturday, November 21 and 22 at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium.
Written by Thornton Wilder, “Our Town” is considered a classic among dramatic literature. The story takes place in a small town in the early 1900s, with each act depicting a separate day in the town. With a minimalist set and pantomimed props, the audience will be focused on the actors’ message of what one should consider most important in life.
Virtuoso co-directors, Mrs. Carina McNear and Mrs. Jessica Carpenter are anxious to kick off their 2014/2015 season. “Thanks to the students and parents for all of their hard work, time, dedication, and talents.”
Tickets can be purchased at the door but general admission seating can also be ordered prior to the show. Tickets can be reserved by emailing Carina McNear at cmcnear@montasd.org.
Virtuoso has been in existence for 16 years, but is in its seventh season as a combined theatre and vocal ensemble. Virtuoso’s most recent performance was “SHREK, the Musical” last spring. They will be presenting “Footloose” in April 2015.
