Elementary school to host a traditional holiday concert

MUNCY – The Myers Elementary School Choruses will present their annual “Holiday Concert” on Monday evening, December 8, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. in the Muncy High School Auditorium. Performing in the concert will be the sixth grade chorus, fifth grade chorus, fourth grade chorus and the Myers honors chorus. Should inclement weather cause an early dismissal or cancellation of school that day, the concert will be held Thursday, December 11 at the same time and in the same location.

Selections for the program will include the Fourth Grade Chorus singing the traditional Christmas carol, Jolly Old Saint Nicholas, and the popular holiday favorite Up on the House Top by Hanby. The Fifth Grade Chorus will sing a Donnelly and Strid selection entitled Candles of Hanukkah and Hi-Ho, It’s Christmas by Besig. Deo Gracias by Sleeth and Candle in Your Heart by Estes will be sung by the Sixth Grade Chorus. The Myers Honors Chorus will sing One Little Stars by Donnelly and Strid and Born on a Christmas Day by Knowles. The concert will conclude with the Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Grade Choruses coming together to sing Silent Night and We Wish You a Merry Christmas.

The Myers Elementary Choruses are under the direction of Mr. George A. Henry. Mrs. Lucille Buck is the accompanist for the choruses. The public is cordially invited to attend this concert.
