Congratulations to Sarah Bopp who represented Montgomery High School at this year’s PMEA District 8 Chorus festival. The competition and concert were held at Shikellamy High School.

Also in Raider news, the Lady Raiders basketball team has secured a position in playoffs with their wins this past week. On the wrestling front, senior Kobe Galentine, earned his 100th career win.

The Revitalize Montgomery Committee will be meeting today, Wednesday, January 28 at 10 a.m. at the Valley Rehabilitation on Main Street. They are planning on organizing some print media for Montgomery.

The Oak Grove Community Center will be holding its February Breakfast on Sunday, February 1 from 8:00 a.m to 11:00 a.m.

The Performance Arts Boosters are holding a Dance Marathon for all students in the extra curricular vocal and band programs. The students will be dancing for six hours in order to raise money for the spring musical and new band uniforms. This mini marathon will be held Friday, January 30 in the cafeteria from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. If you are interested in sponsoring a student or making a food donation, please contact any student or Mrs. McNear at cmcnear@montasd.org.
