Dr. Marcus Myers, O.D. at the Vision & Learning Center of Muncy, PA offers free workshops for parents and professionals who suspect their child may have a learning-related vision problem. Registration is now open for entrants in The Father’s Hope Chili Cook Off, to be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, April 18, at Revival Tabernacle, 960 Susquehanna Trail, Watsontown. Individuals wishing to enter a crock pot of chili in the contest must pre-register by Wednesday, April 1. A donation is requested from each entrant. The cook off will be free to attend, and those in attendance will have the opportunity to taste test the chili. The winner will be determined by a cash vote from those in attendance. All proceeds from the event will benefit Father’s Hope, a 501c3 nonprofit organization.
Financial contributions to Father’s Hope are used exclusively for Father’s Hope’s mission, either to cover the cost of shipping small stuffed animals and related items to orphanages around the world, or to assist with projects at orphanages Father’s Hope partners with.
Since the effort was launched late in 2012, Father’s Hope has touched the lives of over 13,000 orphans and children in need in 17 countries.
