Drop off old electronics this Saturday

HUGHESVILLE – On Saturday, April 11, from ten to two, the Rotary Club of Hughesville and KVS Computers, an R2 certified recycler for Responsible Recycling, will sponsor the E-Cycling event.

This is an opportunity to dispose of obsolete computers, laptops, tablets, cell phones and charges and other electronic equipment in a safe, secure and environmentally friendly manner. When the equipment is received at the recycler, they are responsible for data destruction. Some electronic equipment may be refurbished, however, all data will be destroyed.

Monetary donations to the Rotary Club of Hughesville will also be accepted for the recycling of the equipment. These monetary donations will help support the projects of the Hughesville Rotary Club.

The event will be at the Ashkar Elementary School parking lot in Hughesville. No items will be picked up. Drop off only during scheduled hours.

Items to recycle are: answering machines, landline and cell phones, phone chargers, camcorders, copiers, electric typewriters, electronic games, fax machines, hard drives, laptops, tablets, personal computers, modems, monitors, keyboards, printers, circuit boards, radios, scanners, television, pagers, PDA, CD/DVD and tape players. Items that contain any refrigerant cannot be accepted at this event.
