Local church to present program on sex trafficking
MUNCY – What do you know about sex trafficking of children and youth? Would you like to know more? On Tuesday, April 14 at 7 p.m., the United Methodist Women of Muncy First United Methodist Church, 602 S. Market St., invites all men, women and youth to attend an informative program on this subject. Yes, it is happening in this area.
The guest speaker will be Debbie Colton, Founder and President of Oasis of Hope Ministries. The mission of Oasis of Hope is to provide public awareness and education of sex trafficking and to restore the survivors’ lives through Jesus Christ in faith-based safe homes.
Debbie Colton will speak on how they rebuild survivors’ lives and enable them to regain personal authority; educating the public about human trafficking; encouraging men and women to stand up against the crime of sex trafficking that is attacking our children and youth and introducing spiritual and holistic healing to the victims.
An offering will be received in support of Oasis of Hope and light refreshments will be served following the program. For additional information, please call the church office at (570)546-8030.
