Montgomery Locals April 22, 2015
It was a beautiful weekend of weather. My family and I took advantage of the sunshine with some yard work, a bike ride, and soccer game. Here’s hoping that the spring temperatures are here to stay.
The Great American Clean-up of PA is now here. Today is Earth day and many people are volunteering time to clean up parks and highways. Due to the winter most of our state experienced, there are many areas that need our help. Montgomery Park and the new reparian buffer, and trail way all need assistance with clean up, a good way to spend outdoors.
Pastor Viking Dietrich met with the “Summer Food Program” committee this past week. This will be a 6 week program this summer, held 3 days per week, and will offer activities and food for area children. They will be working in conjunction with the library’s summer reading program. I will keep posting updates on this worthwhile program as well as their next meeting time for interested volunteers.
