Muncy Rotary to host electronic recycle event May 9
The Muncy Rotary Club is co-sponsoring with KVS Computers a recycling of electronics on May 9 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Muncy Bank & Trust parking lot on West Water Street, Muncy.
Load up all those unwanted and no longer usable electronics and for a monetary donation Muncy Rotary will accept them.
Items accepted are laptops, desktops, tablets, smartphones, hard drives, answering machines, landline phones, camcorders, copiers, electric typewriters, electronic games, fax machines, modems, personal computers, monitors, keyboards, printers, circuit boards, radios, scanners, televisions, pagers, tape players, cell phones and chargers.
No items containing refregerant will be accepted or appliances such as microwaves, washers and driers.
All e-cycling services are certifed through the R2:2013 electronics recycling certification, and data will be safely destroyed. For questions concerning the process, contact KVS Computers.
Donations to Muncy Rotary will be used to continue community programs such as the annual egg hunt, senior scholarships, Little League sponsorships, the Dictionary Project, polio eradication, senior citizens donations, and the Susquehanna Health Festival of Lights.
