Fri. Aug. 21 Pops in the Park, Williamsport Symphony Orchestra at 232 Pepper Street, Muncy. Bring family and friends and relax in the setting sun with this live outdoor concert. Starts at 7 p.m.

American Red Cross Bloodmobile will be here on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Nascar McDonalds from 10:00 am – 3:00 p.m. Parcel F Lycoming Mall, Muncy and Tuesday, August 25, at the Eastern Lycoming YMCA from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at 50 Fitness Drive, Muncy.

Sun. Aug. 23 Ice Cream Social at Kedron United Methodist Church from 2-4 p.m. Enjoy free musical entertainment by “Come As You Are.” Located 3 miles south of Muncy Valley on Rt. 220.

Weds. Aug. 26 All you can eat dinner at Pennsdale United Methodist Church, 4-7 p.m.

Fri. Aug. 28th, Muncy 4th Friday, downtown Muncy, 6-9 p.m. with live entertainment by Aaron Kelly and a corn husking contest with prizes, food and giveaways. Join the fun. It’s the last one for the season.

Roast Turkey Dinner on September 5, 2015, from 4-6 p.m., featuring mashed potatoes, filling and gravy with vegetable and dessert. Proceeds support the work of Rev. John Lunn, ELCA Medical Missionary. At Holy Spirit Evangelical Lutheran Church, 10275 State Route 44, Watsontown, between McEwensville and Turbotville on Route 44.

Sept. 2 and 3, distribution days for seniors at Son-Light House, 130 Carpenter St., Muncy. Weds. 9:30 to noon and Thurs. 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Sat. Sept. 5 World War II exhibit and swing dance demo with Gary and Bonnie Glidewell who will also do the fox trot, jitterbug and lindy hop aerials. Starts at 1:30 p.m.

Sat. Sept. 19 Corvette show in downtown Muncy and Artists from our own Backyard from 10-3, rain or shine.

Local senior citizens are invited to attend our annual Senior Expo on Tuesday, September 15th from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Pennsdale Civic Center. Participants will have the opportunity to meet with representatives and receive information from many state and local agencies, community organizations, local senior homes and senior centers and much more. This event is a one-stop shop for information that our community’s older residents will find helpful. I welcome all seniors from my district to attend this informative event and learn more about the many resources that are available to them.
