The Divine Providence Hospital Auxiliary Autumnfest and Car Show is slated for Sunday, Sept. 27 on the hospital grounds at 1100 Grampian Boulevard, Williamsport. The Autumnfest and car show activities run from 10 to 4 and include special exhibits, great food and fun for all ages. Vehicle registration will be available from 10 to 1. All makes and models are welcome. Awards will be offered in many categories and will be announced at 3 p.m. The Autumnfest will feature a yard sale, craft vendors, a pumpkin patch with hay rides, games of chance and more. A raffle will also take place with the winners being announced at the conclusion of the day’s events. Proceeds from the event benefit Susquehanna Health Kathryn Candor Lundy Breast Health Center.
Tues. Sept. 29 discussion and handout on fall prevention at Meck Senior Center, 50 Fitness Lane, Muncy, 11:45 a.m. October is spinach month and on Thurs. Oct. 1st join the center to learn lots of facts about spinach, starting at 11:30 a.m.
There will be a coat giveaway on Sat. Oct. 3rd at the Muncy Baptist Church from 8 to 1, corner of W. Penn and Market Streets, Muncy.
The Warrior Run Fort Freeland Heritage Society’s Annual Heritage Days will be held on October 3rd from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Oct. 4th, 11 to 5.
48th annual Flaming Foliage Festival in Forksville Oct. 3 & 4th, 10 to 4, both days at Sullivan County Fairgrounds, Rt. 154. Handmade creations, demonstrations, live entertainment, and more. Held rain or shine. Free admission and parking.
Pre-School story hour with Miss Amber at the Muncy Public Library. Dates for this activity which is geared for children ages 3-6 yrs and their caregivers are Wednesdays, October 7, 14, 21, and 28. All pre school storytimes run from 10:30-11:15 a.m. Make new friends, enjoy stories, games, songs, and make and take activities together. This program is recommended for kindergarten readiness skill development.
RiverWoods Senior Living Community will host its annual health fair 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Weds. Oct. 7 at Best Western County Cupboard. The event will include 30 health-related vendors, flu shots provided by VNA Health Systems and the following screenings: bone density, weight, glucose, blood pressure and hearing. An Autumn Tea will be held on Sat. Oct. 10 at 2 p.m. in Clarkstown at the United Methodist Church and hosted by the Ladies of the Clarkstown United Methodist Church.
