Montgomery Locals Nov. 25, 2015
Happy Thanksgiving! I wish all of you a blessed holiday and hope you take time to be thankful and enjoy your family and friends. Our traditions include dinner followed by watching classic Christmas films and sorting through Black Friday specials. We actually do not go out on Black Friday, but it is still fun to look for all of the deals.
Virtuoso, the Montgomery High School music and theatre ensemble, presented the holiday classic, “It’s a Wonderful Life” this past weekend. Congratulations to the cast and crew on a fantastic run of shows.
Winter sports practices kicked off this past week in all of our area schools. Best of luck to the Montgomery basketball and wrestling teams and their coaches.
The First Baptist Church of Elimsport has resumed its Kids Club on Sunday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. All children ages 4 through 6th grade are invited to come for an exciting time of games, songs and Bible learning. Parents must register students in person on the first night they attend. Youth Group will be held for older students at the same time as Kids Club. This is open to anyone in grades 7 through 12. Questions can be directed to Pastor Todd at 570-547-6277.
Please consider following @MASDnews on Twitter or via our YouTube channel, The Raider Tube. Both of these digital mediums are created and maintained by the high school Broadcasting class. The intention is to help share Montgomery news and events with our community if they are unable to attend an event.
“Revitalize Montgomery” continues its work throughout the fall season. If interested, meetings are held twice each month. The next meeting is at “Tickle’s Music” Store beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Weds. Dec. 6th on Main Street.
