West Branch Chorale to perform unique arrangements
The West Branch Chorale is busy preparing for their annual Christmas concerts. Entitled “Sing We Now of Christmas”, the program features many favorite Christmas carols. Enjoy favorites such as “Still, Still, Still,” “Deck the Hall”, “Do You Hear What I Hear?” and “The Snow Lay on the Ground.”
The chorale is very fond of the music of John Rutter. This year they will perform “Shepherd’s Pipe Carol” and “Go, Tell It On The Mountain” by Rutter.
A unique arrangement using the male voices to represent the drum accompaniment will be heard in the selection “The Little Drummer Boy.’
The 70 singers will perform the first concert Sunday, December 6 at 3 p.m. at Pleasant View Wesleyan Church, 994 E. Penn St., Muncy. The program will be repeated on Sunday, Dec. 13 at 3 p.m. at Faith United Methodist Church, 700 Fairview Drive, Montoursville.
Jeanne Berninger will be directing the West Branch Chorale with Joy Barto as accompanist and Douglas Dyer as narrator. A free offering will be taken.
