Montgomery Locals Dec. 16, 2015
I had the honor of attending and performing in the annual Christmas service sponsored by the Montgomery Historical Society this past Saturday. The service was held at the Stone Church in Alvira, located on the prison grounds. A pre service gathering featured historical artifacts and a walk through the cemetery. A special thank you to Pastor Viking Dietrich for overseeing the event and to the Historical Society for bringing recognition to such an important part of our local history. Further information on Alvira can be viewed and/or purchased from Otto’s Bookstore in Williamsport and the Muncy Historical Society.
Congratulations to our Lady Raiders for opening their season with a 2-0 record. The girls have posted wins over South South Williamsport and Benton.
Congratulations also to Gabriella Winder for achieving recognition for her hard work with the Williamsport/Lycoming Chamber of Commerce this first quarter.
Please consider following @MASDnews on Twitter or via our YouTube channel, The Raider Tube. Both of these digital mediums are created and maintained by the high school Broadcasting class. The intention is to help share Montgomery news and events with our community if they are unable to attend an event.
