Program Saturday on WWII battle
On Saturday February 20 The Endless Mountains War Memorial museum in Sonestown will remember the Famous Pacific battle of WWII for “Iwo Jima” that started on Feb.19, 1945.
The tribute will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Special guest will be Dick Donald, who as a young sailor during the invasion, witnessed the raising of the flag on Mount Suribachi on the high point of Japanese defense on the island.
Also, the museum will be showing documentaries on the museum’s big screen, as well as highlighting related displays throughout the museum.
