Montgomery Locals Mar. 9, 2016
Thank Heavens Spring is in the air! The days are getting warmer and longer which is always welcome after winter even mild ones like we’ve been blessed to have this year. I’m anxiously awaiting the return of leaves on the trees, flowers, and consistently warm weather! Spring has always been a beautiful time in Montgomery, and I am looking forward to the sight of boats on the river and scent of lilacs wafting on warm breezes. Also be on the lookout for some spring daffodils that were planted last fall and will soon bloom along the railroad.
Spring always reminds me of hope and new beginnings. It’s a time to reflect on old dreams, new ambitions, and a reminder to take chances. Life is short. If there’s something you’ve always wanted to do, what are you waiting for? If there’s something that interests you or a hobby you’ve wanted to start, do something about it. Sign up for a class or take lessons. Tickle Music store offers music lessons. Or pick up that thick book you’ve been planning to read. More new releases and new eBooks have arrived at the Montgomery Public library through the county’s library system.
As the saying goes, you’ll never be this young again. Life is short. So as Spring draws near, remember to seize each and every day for the gift that it is.
Wishes for a very ‘Happy Birthday’ go to Addison Heasley, who will turn 12 on March 15th and congratulations to 7 year old Cassidy Jacobs for your ribbon in the quilt show.
