HUGHESVILLE – Hughesville Rotary announces its service organization will be giving away two thousand Norway Spruce seedlings on Saturday April 23, 2016, starting at 8 a.m. and lasting until all trees have been given away. The location for this Earth Week event will be at the northeast corner of Main and Water Streets in Hughesville, adjacent to the Rotary Clock.

This event is the continuation of Earth Week activities in the local area. Up to five, three year seedlings will be handed out at no cost to individual families interested in planting them with the object of improving the environment.

“Let us all do something positive to improve our air quality and the environment in which we live,” said Bill Sherwood, Rotary member. Plan to participate in Earth Week and Arbor Day activities.
