Hughesville Locals Apr. 27, 2016
Now that we are in the last few days of the month, Spring seems to be well established, and we can more confidently look forward to warmer days and fewer nights with freezing temperatures. Of course, I was once told that I should beware of a “hard freeze” around the time of the full moon in May, so I can’t give in to the temptation to get things planted in my garden.
Hughesville Area Public Library is getting ready to begin a Lego builders’ club. If you or your child like to construct things using the ever-popular interlocking blocks, check with the library to get more details and gather up your Legos and get in some practice time. The library can also help you plan your summer reading list. If you need books or digital sources for projects, your library is the place to get all the tips and designs you need to make your life easier and turn your ideas into works of art.
The nice weather means that many people are walking, biking, skating, and motorcycling on streets and alleyways throughout the borough and surrounding townships. Please be watchful whenever you are driving and be aware of all those who are sharing the roadways. Let’s make sure everyone stays safe.
