Muncy Locals Aug. 3, 2016
Those who use a 717 area code service area may be getting a new one by 2018, as the availability of telephone numbers is nearly exhausted according to the The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission. I wonder how long it will be before the 570 one gets used up.
Congratulations goes to Anne Holladay, head administrator for the Muncy Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center who was recently promoted to executive director of Long Term Care Services for Susquehanna Health. She will now oversee three other personal care facilities besides the one in Muncy. They are the Green Home Skolled Nursing Facility and the Laurels Personal Care Facility in Wellsboro and the Meadows Personal Care Home on Warrensville Road. Anne has a long list of accomplishments leading to her Personal Care Home Administrator license in 2011.
The Repasz Band concert had to be cancelled at the Muncy Valley Hospital due to illnesses I was told. The weather has also been very warm and humid so the swimming pool has been well used. The Sandlot movie was rescheduled from last Saturday due to a threatening storm at the pool and will be held next Wednesday, August 10. Meanwhile, the pool is available for group reservations, especially during after hours. With the lights now installed, you can enjoy a comfortable summer evening by the pool.
And don’t forget the free symphony concert this Saturday on Pepper Street. I am looking forward to the music from Star Wars!
