Montgomery Locals Mar. 8, 2017

By Staff | Mar 8, 2017

This spring is shaping up to be a busy one for our town. There are many opportunities to volunteer in different community projects in the next few months, spring sports will be starting, the Egg Hunt will draw scores of happy little kids, and Borough elections will be held in May.

This year also marks the 125th anniversary of the Montgomery Volunteer Fire Company, so thank you to all of the current members, and those who have served in the past. Everyone in town can rest much easier knowing that you are watching out for us!

THOT “The harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheaply, we esteem to lightly; ’tis dearness only that gives everything its value.” Thomas Paine

If you are interested in joining the Montgomery Lions Club, please call Roger McRae at 570-971-2825. The group provides many opportunities to serve the town through volunteering and community activities.

The Clinton Township Supervisors are searching for a volunteer to fill a vacancy on their committee. The position requires attending a supervisors meeting once a month. Please contact the Clinton Township Office at 570-547-1466 for more information. If you are interested in filling the position, please submit a letter of interest to the Township Office.
