Hughesville Locals Mar. 22, 2017
Spring has officially arrived! Whether that means I can store away my woolen sweaters and clothing layers is still under debate. Given the snowstorm last week and the cold temperatures that followed, keeping the snow around for several days, I think I will keep the winter clothes close at hand. Perhaps I can gradually quit wearing some of them by the middle of April!
Hughesville High School has finished winter sports season, with many proud moments, wrestling medals earned, and participation in state level playoff games for both boys’ and girls’ basketball teams. Congratulations to all our student-athletes! Other HHS students proved their competitive prowess in their preparation for WVIA’s Scholastic Scrimmage competition that took place early this week. The HHS Scholastic Scrimmage team includes Kade Heckel, Emilie Detweiler, Josiah Cottle, Elise Sherman, Levi Shaner, and Nathan Winter. I’m sure they will also make us proud!
