Muncy Locals June 1, 2017
Memorial weekend has come and gone so quickly, with many of the Memorial services held indoors. This is the first time I can remember in the past ten years that we had rain on Memorial Day Monday morning. However, Muncy was lucky, because by the time 11 a.m. came, most of the rain had stopped. So Muncy borough was the only one in the tri-county area that had the parade. Hughesville’s and Montgomery’s parades were cancelled as they were scheduled for 9 a.m. I was pleased to see so many spectators lining the streets of Muncy. And Hughesville’s fire trucks joined those of Muncy and Pennsdale.
