Hughesville Locals June 14, 2017

By Staff | Jun 14, 2017

Happy Flag Day! I hope everyone has made an effort to display our beautiful American flag on this commemorative day, and will continue to have it out from now until Labor Day. Regardless of any political dispute or challenge, we all can be proud of our great nation.

It’s also time for honoring all the fathers we know and this Sunday we will celebrate Father’s Day. I am sure that there will be many picnics and hikes, swimming pools will be in use, and those who like water sports will be out in boats, canoes, kayaks, or jet-skis on the river or local creeks.

Along with the enjoyment of outdoor activity, there are many indoor places for refreshment and recreation, including the Eastern Lycoming YMCA, the Hughesville Area Public Library, and the East Lycoming Historical Society museum, so regardless of the weather this weekend, we can enjoy some leisure time with family and friends.
