Montgomery Locals Feb. 21, 2018

Virtuoso Junior gave a charming performance of “Law and Order: Fairy Tale Unit” in the high school auditorium on Saturday night. The theatre ensemble is made up of students in seventh and eighth grade. The comedic satire of the police drama was well-received by the audience who got to enjoy plenty of laughs as well as an action-packed and entertaining fairy tale police chase through the auditorium. The students portrayed some of the most famous fairy tale characters in literature and the show was enjoyed by young and old alike. The audience gave the young performers a standing ovation.

The cast members were: Addison Heasley, Ava Peluso, Brayden Foresman, Cara Bossley, Donovan Houseknecht, Garret Rine, Gavin Rine, Geoffrey Short, Kaylei Snyder, Mackenzie Holmes, Madeline Bender, Natalie St. James, Nathan Yeagle, Parker Welliver, Riley Miller, Robert Plank, Samantha Guyer, Samantha Ulrich, Samuel Oister, Sarah Turner, Savannah Peppard, Shelby McRae, Sloan Wooten, Tori Magyar, and Tyler Clinard.

The crew members were: Shanna Haden, Emma Klopp, Megan Bartlow, Brian Rehn, Jacob Cuddeback, Iris Keister, Danielle Boyer, Brynn McRae, Shelby McRae, Taylor McRae, Shane Peck, Joshua Solomon, Kaylei Snyder, Samantha Ulrich, Ceclia Beckley, Skye McGrath, Jaelyn Woods, Jim Carpenter, Jessica Carpenter, Paul Bozella, and Kaden Bryson.

Weds. Feb. 21 The Montgomery Area Public Library will have Toddler Tales from 11-noon for children ages 1-5. The children will listen to a story, have a snack, and make a craft. Please plan to accompany your child and preregister at 547-6212.

Mon. Feb 26 Teen Game Night will be held at the library from 4:30-5:30. Board games such as chess, Apples to Apples, Jenga, and Pictionary will be available.

Sat. Mar. 3 The Montgomery Volunteer Fire Company will have a Chicken BBQ fundraiser from 11-2. Chicken can be purchased separately or as a meal. The meal includes half a chicken, baked beans, a baked potato, a roll, and dessert.

Sun. Mar 4 There will be an All-You-Can-Eat Breakfast at the Oak Grove Community Center in Elimsport from 8-11 am. The menu includes French toast, pancakes, bacon, eggs, sausage, sausage gravy, biscuits, fried potatoes, toast, fruit, and beverages.
