Montgomery Locals June 6, 2018

By Staff | Jun 6, 2018

The school year might be winding down, but kids in Montgomery won’t have to worry about not having anything fun to do this summer.

The Summer Alive program will be starting soon in the park, and will offer a variety of fun skills to learn such as music, art, gardening, and cooking. There will be lots of games and opportunities to play. The program also offers free breakfast and lunch.

The Montgomery Area Public Library also has a full schedule of activities for everyone ages one and up. While the library will offer the traditional Summer Reading program, there will be activity groups for all ages. Toddler Tales is designed for ages 1-5 and has been a well-loved activity for little ones in the past few months. A new group will be forming for the summer months for children ages 7-11 called Rocking Rollers. They will be having some fun crafting activities that will be sure to provide plenty of fun for elementary-aged students.

The Teen Program will also be continuing throughout the summer with a mix of movie nights and arts-themed activities. Grown-ups don’t need to feel left out as the family programs are packed full of fun activities that include music, a professional performer, and arts and crafts.

Movie nights will continue as well. Be sure to take full advantage of all of the library’s offerings this summer!
