Montgomery Locals, Jan. 16, 2019

By Staff | Jan 16, 2019

This month marks the beginning of two new groups that are forming at the Montgomery Area Public Library.

The first is called Construction Club and it allows school-aged children to get together and build things. The meetings will be split into two parts. The kids will be given free time to build things of their own choosing from a variety of provided materials, and then a challenge will be given for them to build different objects from specific materials. The program is free and is a great opportunity for kids to make new friends, learn, and have fun. The first meeting will be held on January 21 at 4:30 p.m. Children should be accompanied by an adult.

The second group is called Nifty Knitters and Crafty Crocheters. They will be meeting on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. This is an opportunity for adults to get together and enjoy social time as they work independently on projects of their own choosing. Participants should bring their own materials. Their next gathering will be held on January 28.
