Many, many thanks to everyone who participated and contributed in this year’s Relay for Life.
The Montgomery Volunteer Fire Company has announced that this year’s Fall Festival will take place on Saturday, October 5. If you would like to be a craft show vendor send an email to mvfc13@gmail.com and they will send an application. Please be aware that the spots are already beginning to fill.
The Summer Alive Program is currently up and running. Children ages 6-18 can receive free breakfast and lunch and have plenty of learning and play opportunities. Go to www.summeralive.org for more information.
If you are willing to volunteer as an emergency responder or as a non-emergency support person, please contact one of our local fire companies. You can reach the Montgomery Volunteer Fire Company at 547-1380 or the Clinton Township Fire Company at 547-1000.

Montgomery Events
Sat. June 15 There will be a galaxy refrigerator magnet making class for adults at the Montgomery library at 11 a.m.
Sat. June 15 The library will host Story Time at the Park from 1-2. This event is for the entire family and will be held at the small park behind the library. There will be a story, hula hoop games, and moon paint making. This event will be weather permitting.
Mon. June 17 The Construction Club will meet at the library from 4:30-5:30.
Tues. June 18 The library will have a galaxy flower pot painting activity for adults from 5-6 p.m.
Tues. June 18 Teen Movie Night will be held at the library from 6-7:30 p.m.
Weds. June 19 Toddler Tales will be held at the library from 11-noon for children ages 1-6. Children will enjoy a story, snack, and craft. Please preregister and plan to accompany your child.
Thurs. June 20 The Montgomery Area Historical Society’s Third Thursday program will be held at 6:30 in the Adam Room. The theme will be “Sharing Stories of the 1972 Agnes Flood.” The featured speaker will be Dennis Gruver, the current Montgomery Emergency Management Agency Coordinator. In 1972 he was the part of the Montgomery Civil Defense which was instrumental in serving the community during the flood. There will be a time for attendees to share their stories. The event is free and open to the public.
Fri. June 21 A professional performer will be at the Montgomery library at 2 p.m.
Sat. Jun. 22 There will be a Garden Tractor Pull and Chicken BBQ Dinner at the Oak Grove Community Center from 12-8 p.m. The registration for the tractor pull begins at 2 p.m. and the pull starts at 4 p.m.
