Muncy Locals 9/11/2019

By Staff | Sep 11, 2019

Faculty and staff in the Muncy School District donated $2,093 to local charities and causes last year, thanks to their Casual for a Cause program. For $2, employees are permitted to “dress down” on designated days, typically a Friday, throughout the school year. Casual for a Cause launched 12 years ago, according to teacher Matt McCrone, who has spearheaded the fundraiser since its inception. Since then, the district has donated nearly $60,000. Benefactors are determined by departments. Thank you for caring, teachers!

Last month’s “ShopperFest,” organized by Kay Wallis, was the first of its kind in this region, and netted a modest $100 for the Hughesville Ambulance fund.
