Muncy Locals Oct 30

Congratulations are in order to Franchesca Guisewhite, who was crowned Princess and Nevaeh Wertman who was voted as Queen during Muncy Homecoming festivities ion Oct. 18.

This week’s feature article on the “financial reality fair” at Muncy High School was written by junior Rory Oden, daughter of Layne and Dolly Oden, of Muncy, and granddaughter of Janice Oden.

The 74th annual Mummers Parade, held Oct. 19, in South Williamsport, reaped two awards for the Muncy band and cheerleaders. Judges awarded the President’s Award tand the Mummers’ Memorial Award, respectively. Well done!

Saturday, Nov. 2-Halloween Trick or treat hours are 6-8 p.m. Please turn your porch light on if you are handing out treats.

Son Light House, Senior food distribution, 130 Carpenter Street, Muncy, first and third Wednesdays, 8:30-noon and first and third Thursdays, 4 to 7 p.m. This week distribution is scheduled for Nov. 6-7. Donation hours are every Monday, Thursday, and Saturday, 7-10 a.m., food, clean usable seasonable clothing, toys, and furniture only at this time.

Saturday, Nov. 2-Stop the Bleed first-aid training, 9-10:30 a.m., Crossroads Church Muncy Campus, 628 East Penn Street. The event is free and open to the public.

Nov. 2-3, Ken Hunter Art Open House, 4186 Muncy Exchange Road, Muncy, beginning Saturday, 10-7 p.m. and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Tuesday, Nov. 5-Don’t forget to cast your vote at your designated voting district.

Tuesday, Nov. 5-Muncy Alumni Association committee meeting, 6:30 p.m., community room of the Muncy Public Library. New members to serve on the committee are welcome!

Thursday, Nov. 7 and Friday, Nov. 9-Ars Nova presents the drama, ANON(ymous) beginning at 7 p.m. Tickets available at the door.

Nov. 8 and 9-Muncy Historical Society’s 13th annual Artists Exhibition and sale, 5:30-9 p.m. Nov. 8 and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Location is First United Methodist Church, 602 South Market Street, Muncy.

Saturday, Nov. 9-Annual Muncy PTSA Craft Show at the high school, 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

Sunday, Nov. 10-Ars Nova presents the drama, ANON(ymous) 1 p.m. matinee. Tickets available at the door.
